Refund policy
At Simple Dive, your satisfaction and trust is our top priority. However, due to the specialized and safety-critical nature of scuba and freediving gear, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds based on change of mind. Returns are only accepted in the case of verifiable manufacturing defects.
1. Overview
We offer a 14-day return window from the date you receive your item. Returns are accepted only for faulty goods, damaged items on arrival, or incorrect orders. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, especially given the safety-critical nature of diving equipment.
2. Eligibility for Returns
To qualify for a return:

The item must be in the same condition as received—unused, unworn, unwashed, with original tags and packaging intact.

The return must be initiated within 14 days of delivery.

You must provide a proof of purchase (receipt or invoice).

Items must not have been used underwater or exposed to pressurized gases.
Returns will not be accepted for:

Items purchased on sale or clearance.
-
Gift cards, eLearning materials, and certification fees.
-
Custom products (e.g. personalized cylinders, pre-configured dive rigs).
-
Hazardous materials, pressurized containers, and opened breathing apparatus.
3. Return Procedure

Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
4. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item is:

Faulty or develops a fault not due to misuse,

Not as described or does not match its advertised features,

Arrives damaged or is not the item you ordered.
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us within 48 hours if anything is incorrect, defective, or damaged. We'll work promptly to resolve the issue.
5. Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a confirmed defect, shipping error, or damage in transit.

If we provide a prepaid return label, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from your refund unless we are at fault.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and retaining your postal receipt.
6. Refunds
Refunds are processed as follows:

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection.

If approved, your refund will be processed via your original payment method within 10 business days.

Banks and credit card providers may take additional time to process and post the refund.

If you haven’t received your refund after 15 business days, please contact us.
7. Exchanges

We only offer exchanges for the same item if it is defective or damaged due to a manufacturing fault.

For all other cases, the fastest way to exchange is to return the item (if eligible) and place a new order.
8. Dive Courses and Trips
Local Dive Trips:

Require a minimum of 72 hours' notice to reschedule or receive a refund.
-
Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable.
Dive Courses:
-
Courses are non-refundable once commenced.
-
For cancellations prior to the course:
-
More than 14 days’ notice: full refund or reschedule.
-
7 days’ notice: 50% cancellation fee.
-
Less than 7 days: no refund.
-

A $250 admin fee applies to any rescheduling.
International and Interstate Trips:

Subject to separate refund policies stated in each trip’s terms.

Deposits for these trips are non-refundable due to third-party supplier commitments.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This policy does not override your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product is defective, not fit for purpose, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
