Frequently asked questions
Does this regulator have a rotating turret?
Yes. Its DST first stage has four medium-pressure ports on a rotating turret, giving you flexibility when arranging the hoses in your setup.
Will it fit my cylinder valve?
This model uses a DIN connection. Check that your cylinder valve and complete gas setup are compatible with the regulator and meet the manufacturer's requirements before use. Contact Simple Dive if you need help identifying the correct connection.
What do the second-stage controls do?
The opening-effort knob adjusts the effort needed to start a breath. The Venturi lever controls airflow assistance inside the second stage. Use these controls as described in the Apeks owner's manual and your diver training.
What should I check before using enriched-air Nitrox?
Refer to your enriched-air Nitrox training for planning and using the gas, and stay within the limits of your training. Follow the manufacturer's gas limits and oxygen-service requirements for the regulator and the rest of your equipment, and maintain the required oxygen-clean condition. If you are unsure about equipment suitability or its service history, have an appropriately qualified regulator technician check it before use. Green identification alone does not establish its current oxygen-clean condition.
Is this a complete scuba equipment package?
The set includes the first stage, second stage and a connecting regulator hose. The manufacturer's published hose specification is 76 cm (30 in), black braided and flexible. Select any additional hoses, instruments and other equipment needed for your configuration in line with the manufacturer's requirements. For enriched-air Nitrox diving, configure and use the complete system in line with your training.
